ENID, Okla. – Enid Police say a five-year-old’s closet was the hiding place for a stash of drugs.
Photos show guns, money, a bullet proof vest and $35,000 worth of marijuana. A SWAT team found it all hidden in a home in the 1300 block of 16th St.
Linda Phares and her neighbors watched as police busted into her neighbor’s home and arrested Judd Julian and a pregnant woman, Kayla Ross.
“That’s sad. That’s really sad,” said, neighbor, Linda Phares.
Perhaps more disheartening, once inside the home, police realized the children at a school down the street weren’t the only ones close to the drugs and guns.
That’s when they found the five-year-old. It was a sad situation, even for police.
“It really makes it a sad deal and that environment,” said Lt. Eric Holtzclaw. “Somebody growing up in that environment is certainly going to see that and learn from it and then we have a repetitive cycle.”
Detectives say Judd Julian has a criminal history with drugs. As for the mother to be, police say she was the dealer this time.
“It really hardens my heart to think people don’t even stop to think about their children or grandchildren in the day and age we’re living in,” said Phares.
Both Julian and Ross face several charges including possession with intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a school.
