Cowgirls Roll Past Mavericks
Oklahoma State’s women’s basketball team cruised past Texas-Arlington 74-35 on Sunday afternoon at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater.
Four Cowgirls scored in double figures, with Brittney Martin leading OSU with 16 points.
LaShawn Jones had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Tiffany Bias nearly did, with 14 points, nine assists and six steals.
Kendra Suttles scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
OSU held UTA to just 22 percent field goal shooting and led by 18 at halftime.
The Cowgirls’ biggest lead was 43 late in the game.
OSU outrebounded the Mavericks by 23 and forced 23 UTA turnovers.
Oklahoma State improves to 2-0 and will host Northern Colorado on Saturday in Stillwater.
