Woman facing charges after allegedly threatening to harm 2-year-old child
OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City woman is facing an array of charges after she allegedly threatened to shoot a 2-year-old child.
Police were called to assault with a deadly weapon after witnesses reported that a woman was threatening adults and a child with a gun.
According to the police affidavit, witnesses told police 38-year-old Jennifer Campbell got into a fight with another woman before flattening the tires on a pickup truck.
When the owner of the truck confronted her, Campbell allegedly pulled out a semiautomatic pistol and pointed it at the victims.
Witnesses also claim Campbell racked the slide on the gun and allegedly put the gun against a 2-year-old baby’s head, saying she would “kill the baby herself.”
When officers arrived, Campbell was not at the scene anymore but was talking on the phone to one of the victims.
Police say the victim put the call on speaker and allegedly heard Campbell say “I’m going to blow her f****** head off.”
Campbell was found a short time later and taken into custody.
She is facing charges of destroying private property and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
The child was not injured.
