OKLAHOMA CITY – The OKC Thunder has started their sixth annual holiday assist initiative, helping Oklahoma families with different events during the holiday season.

The next one will be Dec. 8 and will benefit the Salvation Army Angel Tree.

Fans can bring unwrapped new toys to the Chesapeake Energy Arena before the game, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., for the chance to win Thunder prizes.

The annual initiative will end Dec. 27 with the Oklahoma Blood Institute Holiday Blood Drive from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center.

Those who donate will receive an exclusive Thunder T-shirt.

The events kicked off Nov. 6 when the team collected donations for the “Feeding Oklahoma Food Drive.”
