Jurors tour scene where teen was killed by Del City officer
DEL CITY – Jurors get the chance to tour the scene where a Del City police captain shot an unarmed teen in the back.
Capt. Randy Harrison is charged with manslaughter for the deadly shooting in March 2012.
Following a high-speed chase and crash, Harrison shot 18-year-old Dane Scott Jr. in the back as he tried to flee the scene on foot.
Testimony on Wednesday came from a half-dozen eyewitnesses who were at the intersection at the time of the shooting.
Those witnesses all said they did not think Scott posed a deadly threat to Harrison before the officer pulled the trigger.
Harrison faces four years to life if convicted.
