Man due in court after confessing to murdering pregnant woman
GUTHRIE, Okla. – A grisly murder case out of Guthrie is heading to court Thursday.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Timothy Slawson, who is charged with one count of first-degree murder.
Authorities say he allegedly confessed to killing Mindy Carder, who was found shot to death at the end of a rural road in October.
Slawson is also facing one count of first-degree manslaughter because Carder was two months pregnant when she was murdered.
Among the disturbing details of the case, court documents say Slawson admitted he hired Carder as a prostitute with the intent to murder her.
