Overnight quakes shake Jones, no damage reported
JONES, Okla. – Some residents said they were shaken awake by a couple of early morning earthquakes Monday.
The first one hit just after 1 a.m.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the epicenter of the magnitude 2.9 tremor was located about six miles northwest of Jones.
A second quake rattled the same area about 10 minutes later, a magnitude 2.5.
That one was about four miles northwest of Jones.
Several viewers called the station but so far no damage has been reported.
