One victim treated, one in custody after stabbing at Penn Square Mall
OKLAHOMA CITY – Emergency crews are at the scene of a stabbing on top of a parking garage at a popular mall in Oklahoma City.
Officials were called to a possible stabbing at the parking garage of Penn Square Mall shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
At this time, authorities say the victim has non-life threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
Oklahoma City police say the suspect in the case was arrested.
They are not searching for any other suspects related to the stabbing.
Donna Berlin, the mall’s general manager, released the following statement:
“There was an isolated incident with no serious injuries this afternoon. We are fully cooperating with the Oklahoma City Police Department as they investigate this matter. For more information, please contact them directly at (405) 297-1111.”
This is the second attack at Penn Square Mall in less than a week.
On Friday, a couple was carjacked at gunpoint when they were going back to their vehicle.
