Police: 24 children on board school bus involved in accident in southwest OKC
OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities rushed to an accident involving a school bus on the city’s southwest side Wednesday afternoon.
Oklahoma City police were called to the area of S.W. 78th St. and Pennsylvania Ave. around 4:30 p.m. after learning about a two car accident, involving a school bus.
Authorities say a Chevy Trailblazer accidentally rear-ended the bus.
Officials say that while the initial call came out as a non-injury crash, there were a couple of injuries reported in the other vehicle.
EMSA and fire crews were called to the scene to assist the injured victims.
Scanner traffic indicates that 24 children were on the bus at the time of the accident.
Fortunately, we’re being told that no children were injured in the crash.
At this time, there is no word on the extent of injuries in the other vehicle.
