OU to play Alabama in Sugar Bowl Jan. 2 in New Orleans

Oklahoma will play Alabama in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 2 at 7:30 p.m. CT at the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Sooners will make their 15th straight appearance in a bowl game, all 15 have come in the Bob Stoops era.

OU has an all-time bowl record of 27-18-1 and have won three out of their last four bowls under Stoops.

This will be the third meeting between the Sooners and Crimson Tide in a bowl, Alabama holds a 1-0-1 advantage on Oklahoma.
