AUSTIN, Texas – After a rough start to the football season, which ended when the Texas Longhorns lost to Baylor last weekend, rumors are swirling about the future of Texas head coach Mack Brown.
According to OrangeBloods.com, Brown is stepping down as the head coach of the Longhorns.
However, several other sources, including the coach, are denying that report.

ESPN is reporting that a meeting with the University of Texas Board of Regents could determine his fate.
Brown has compiled a 158-47 record in 16 seasons with the Longhorns.
His teams have won 10 bowl games, six Big 12 South titles, three conference titles and the 2005 BCS National Championship.
Texas has not failed to win at least nine games before the 2010 season but the Longhorns have not reached the 10-win mark since that time.
