ATLANTA – A north Georgia woman said she wants answers after an apparent prank in a restroom left her with serious injuries last week.
WSB spoke with the
woman who said she wants answers from not only the store where it happened but from whomever put glue on the top of the toilet seat lids.
Twelve days after the incident, Illyanna De La Keur said she remains couch-bound.
She said the injuries she suffered were physically painful but also mental; she said she is very embarrassed.
“I’m a grown woman who can’t even
sit up,” De La Keur said. “I was stuck probably over an hour.”
De La Keur went to a Banks County Home Depot the day before Thanksgiving with her sister and brother-in-law.
She said when she went to the restroom, she
never noticed anyone had tampered with seats until it was too late.
De La Keur’s sister took video as paramedics worked to free her.

Crews ultimately decided to use WD-40 to free her.
It worked but she was left with ripped skin and several wounds.
De La Keur and her family now question the process.
“I couldn’t understand why they weren’t just taking me to an emergency room and having a doctor remove it,” De La Keur said.
“She wasn’t in her right state of mind to OK an experiment on her. It worked but I don’t think she should have been there,” De La Keur’s
sister, Aleera Canino, said.
A Home Depot representative said the company has left De La Keur two voice messages and mailed a letter to her.
