Thousands in southeastern Oklahoma still without power week after winter storm
HUGO, Okla. – In southeastern Oklahoma, about 1,000 people are still without power Wednesday.
Most of the residents are in Choctaw and Pushmataha counties, specifically the Hugo area.
After nearly a week, we are told an estimated 3,000 customers are without electricity.
Many of them lost power last Thursday.
Utility officials said their crews are having trouble reaching two remote areas.
They said the goal is to reduce that number by Friday and hopefully, less than 200 will be without power by Sunday night.
