Blake Shelton asking you to sing along during live holiday event for armed forces
NEW YORK – Oklahoma superstar Blake Shelton is getting into the Christmas spirit and he’s asking you to help sing along.
Blake recently partnered with JC Penny and will host a live performance in New York City next Thursday.
During the live event, “virtual carolers,” will sing along with Blake to his rendition of “Silent Night.”
Blake said it’s about bringing holiday cheer to the incredible men and women serving in our armed forces.
“You know, I think anybody in the position that I’m in needs to do their part to give back whenever they can,” Shelton said. “It’s important to me. You know, I still live back in Oklahoma and I try to stay out of show business as much as I can. Even though its how I work and how I make my living, as soon as I can get back to what I call the ‘real world’ it keeps me connected with people’s every day lives and their every day struggles and there’s always something that people in my position can do to help and I think we should.”
