Tennessee woman knits presents for Prince George, receives thank you note
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CNN) – As you begin receiving presents for the holidays, it is always polite to send a thank you card.
Britain’s Prince William and Princess Catherine are now being bombarded with gifts from all over the world to mark the birth of their son.
Among them was a hat and matching booties, which were made by an elderly woman in Tennessee.
Mary Anderson, 83, knits for fun and decided to crochet Prince George a few gifts.
Her daughter took them to the post office and shipped them off to the royal family.
Less than a month later, Anderson received a letter from the royal family, thanking her for the thoughtful gift.
Anderson says she never thought the royal family would take the time to send out messages and was not expecting anything in return for her gift.
