Southern California middle school evacuated after shots fired in nearby house
LOS ANGELES – A middle school in the Pacoima area of Los Angeles was evacuated Friday afternoon after shots reportedly were fired inside a nearby house, authorities said.
An unidentified caller, who was believed to be locked inside the residence, told police that he had shot two people, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Police said the incident wasn’t believed to be connected with the middle school but it was evacuated as a precaution, the Times reported.
Pacoima is a community of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley.
