Sandy Hook anniversary: mother “We can prevent gun violence”
A year ago, today(Saturday), a gunman forced his was into Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, killing six adults and 20 children.
The mother of one of those children had this message for people as they think on last year’s shootings.
“I would ask that you be kind and remember, but really I would love people, everywhere to join Sandy Hook Promise and make the promise to parent together, because together, we can all be part of the solution and prevent gun violence in our communities.”
A mentally ill 20-year-old recluse named Adam Lanza also killed his mother that day.
He then took her car to the school and killed 26 people before killing himself.
