OKLAHOMA CITY - It was an act of reckless driving that ended in a fiery blaze for a metro driver Saturday afternoon.

After a hit-and-run accident in Bethany the suspect fled to Oklahoma city, little did she know she was being tailed by the victim.

After the victim blocked her off, she tried to escape but to no avail.

The spinning of her tires created such an intense heat that the car caught fire and began to melt.

Luckily for the driver bystanders broke the windows of her vehicle and rescued her from the blaze.

The driver was taken to the hospital immediately after police arrived on the scene.
