Santa stops by local elementary school to bring Christmas cheer
OKLAHOMA CITY – Christmas came early for some Oklahoma City elementary school students.
The Oklahoma Junior Chamber of Commerce adopted Pierce Elementary to help make the holidays a little brighter for the kids.
After weeks of collecting donations and shopping, Santa Claus delivered toys, bikes and stuffed animals to the school.
Ulyssa Mata, a second grade student, said, “Our class got notes and we wrote what we wanted and I guess that’s how they knew what we wanted.”
When asked who knew, Mata said, “Santa!”
The organization raised more than $8,500 to deliver goodies to 280 kids at Pierce Elementary.
