Bishop McGuinness receives $2,500.00 grant from The Catholic Foundation
OKLAHOMA CITY - Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School recently received a donation from The Catholic Foundation for a $2,500.00 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Grant.
The funds will go towards the purchase two Apple TVs and five iPads to complete an iPad cart. The iPad cart is reserved and used by different classes on a daily basis.
As the school transitions into technology-enriched classrooms, iPad carts help to familiarize students with this device which encourages collaboration and communication, increases research and information fluency, and stimulates creativity and innovation.
Apple TV’s, paired with the iPad, offer the opportunity for the students to interact with the lesson collectively, and to share these interactions in real time with each other. Apple TV provides the teacher the ability to airplay the content on their iPad to the classroom display and provides a natural platform for open discussion.
