Health: Reports of the flu on the rise in Kansas, Texas
OKLAHOMA CITY – The flu is on the rise across the country, including a couple of states near the Oklahoma border.
Last week, 10 new patients were admitted to a hospital in Oklahoma.
So far this year, 54 Oklahomans have been diagnosed with the virus.
However, there have not been any deaths related to the flu in the Sooner State.
Experts say 10 states, including Texas and Kansas, have reported widespread activity.
The dominant strain this year appears to be H1N1, which typically affects young and middle-aged adults.
