Opening Night: Celebrate the New Year in style in downtown OKC
OKLAHOMA CITY – It’s New Year’s Eve, which means that people will be celebrating 2014 in less than 24 hours.
Downtown Oklahoma City will host its own New Year’s Eve celebration on Monday night.
Experts are predicting that nearly 50,000 people will descend on downtown to enjoy the festivities surrounding Opening Night.
Crews will begin setting up for the event around 9 a.m.
However, most of the festivities begin around 7 p.m. near the Myriad Botanical Gardens.
Tickets are $10 at the gate.
Guests will be able to visit a variety of venues where over 40 bands will take the stage throughout the night.
When it gets closer to 2014, visitors are encouraged to head to the Myriad Gardens Grand Lawn to watch a fireworks display.
As the seconds tick away, crews will begin raising the New Year’s Eve ball to celebrate 2014 in style.
