Flames engulf home late Thursday night; one person recovering
A recent string of fires has broke out in Oklahoma during these winter months.
At least one person is recovering after another house fire.
In the area of south-east 47th and Shields, crews say a woman called police saying her kitchen was on fire.
The woman and one other person inside the home were using the kitchen stove when the house caught fire.
The flames spread and got out of control.
Crews arriving on scene reported seeing thick flames shooting from the windows and roof.
Both people inside were able to make it out, but not before the woman suffered from inhaling smoke.
The woman was transported to the hospital.
