Officers arrest second suspect in violent home invasion
UPDATE: Oklahoma City Police say they have arrested 23-year-old Storm Williams on S. Meridian.
He is now being held at the Oklahoma County Jail.
OKLAHOMA CITY – The search continues for a man suspected of a violent home invasion.
Last week. the victim suffered a broken hip and arm after the robbers ransacked her home and left her to suffer for more than 8 hours on the floor.
Police arrested 25-year-old Chad Stone late last week but continue to search for his accomplice.
“It’s scares me a lot because, although we’ve had some burglaries in the area, they did a pretty good job on her,” said neighbor Linda Mitchell. “She’s in bad condition.”
“When they kicked in the door, the door struck the victim and she suffered significant injuries, including a broken arm and broken hip,” said Oklahoma City police Captain Dexter Nelson.
The suspects then used the victim’s credit cards all over town.
That allowed police to release surveillance video of the duo and resulted in the arrest of Chad Stone.
Police have now identified the second accused crook as 23-year-old Storm Williams.
A search of DOC records shows Williams has a lengthy criminal history.
Police now hope someone can lead them to Williams’ whereabouts.
“This particular individual could be dangerous if he remains on the street, so we’d like to get him off the streets as quickly as we possibly can,” said Nelson.
“Guys that break in and hurt people have no business being out on the street,” said Mitchell.
The 68-year-old victim remains in the hospital with her injuries.
Police say they don’t know why the victim was targeted, but it may have just been a random choice.
