OKLAHOMA CITY – Crews have closed the westbound lanes of I-40 just east of I-44 where a semi lost its trailer Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities said HazMat crews are on scene because of a chemical leak concern; the trailer is not leaking at this time.
According to crews on the scene, the semi is carrying methyl propargyl alcohol which is flammable and highly toxic if you breathe it or get it on your skin.
Crews have not confirmed the cause of the accident.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area at this time.
