Officer recovering after swerving into oncoming traffic, hitting car
OKLAHOMA CITY – An officer is recovering after hitting a car in oncoming traffic Wednesday morning.
Just before 7 a.m. the officer was on the way to an accident near S.W. 44th St. and S. Council Rd.
She was driving northbound on Council when she swerved to miss a slowed car, crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a car in the southbound lane.
Officials said the officer was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
