SHAWNEE, Okla. – Shawnee jewelry designer, Patti Eayre, is offering a Beginning II Jewelry Clinic at the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art on Saturday, January 18th.

The workshop is from 1pm to 5pm at the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art.

Pre-registration is required.  The class is limited to 8 participants, providing much one-on-one interaction with the instructor.

The Beginning II Jewelry Clinic is appropriate for adults and students ages 16 and up who have mastered simple wire wrapped connections, particularly those who have attended Eayre’s Beginning I Jewelry Clinic.

This follow-up clinic covers techniques such as cage wrapped beads, various open and closed spirals, painted patina, wire finishing, and wire clasp making.

Not only will students learn fun new techniques, but they will create and bring home several finished projects.

Clinic instructor, Patti Eayre, is a local artist who has been designing jewelry and wire art since 1992.

Currently she sells one-of-a-kind work through the Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art gift shop.  Patti places a high value on fine craftsmanship and believes in creating quality jewelry as wearable art.

Clinic tuition is $95, with discounts for seniors, teachers, students, and museum members.

Registration is due by January 17.
