UPDATE: Logan County grass fires contained or put out day after sparking in Guthrie

GUTHRIE, Okla. – Fire crews said all of the Logan County grass fires are either contained or put out after sparking Sunday.

The fires burned hundreds of acres and forced families from their homes.

The wild fires started about noon Sunday near County Rd. 73 and N. Post Rd.

Guthrie fire officials said those fires burned about 1,200 acres.

The flames destroyed five or six homesĀ andĀ outbuildings.

Crews said more than two-dozen homes were evacuated.
