Popular park to close for renovations
OKLAHOMA CITY – A popular local park is about to get a makeover to the tune of $1.8 million.
Memorial Park, located near N.W. 36th St. and Classen, will close next Monday so contractors can begin working on the renovations.
Officials say contractors will resurface the tennis courts, add new playgrounds, picnic pavilions, a basketball court and a new parking lot.
The work is expected to be completed in the fall.
