Elderly black rhino ‘Marsha’ dies at Oklahoma City Zoo
OKLAHOMA CITY – An elderly black rhino has died at the Oklahoma City Zoo Monday.
Zoo officials said 32-year-old “Marsha” died during a medical exam.
She had become lethargic and wasn’t eating, according to the zoo.
Veterinarians checked and treated her last week and said she was improving.
However, she relapsed over the weekend.
Animal Care staff said they are waiting on confirmed results but said it appears Marsha died from old age at this time.
