Reports: Former Sooner standout suffers torn ACL during Senior Bowl practice
NORMAN, Okla. – After recording a stellar career with the Oklahoma Sooners, it seems one of OU’s top defensive players is dealing with another setback.
According to reports, cornerback Aaron Colvin tore his ACL during practice for the Senior Bowl.
Colvin’s agent tweeted a message, saying, “[Colvin] has torn his acl. Send prayers for this terrific young cb and even better person who will make his mark on the NFL.”
Colvin left practice with his knee heavily wrapped.
Initial reports said the injury was believed to be a sprain.
This is not his first time suffering a debilitating injury; Colvin has suffered multiple injuries this past year.
Last year, Colvin suffered a shoulder injury, which sidelined him for much of his senior season.
The first day of the NFL draft is scheduled for May 8.
