Thunder finish strong in big win over Trailblazers
OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Thunder used a 15-0 run and a 46 point effort from Kevin Durant to close out a 105-97 win over the Portland Trailblazers.
Durant hit three late shots from behind the arc and scored 11 of the Thunder’s final 15 points in the victory.
It’s the eighth straight game of at least 30 points and Durant’s third 40 point game this season.
Kendrick Perkins had a big block, steal and shot to finish the game as well.
The win gives the Thunder sole possession of second place in the Western Conference.
Oklahoma City has the tough task of traveling to San Antonio, the west’s top team, for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff on Jan. 22.
