Suspects facing multiple charges after allegedly leading police on chase

OKLAHOMA CITY – Two men are in jail after an overnight chase led police to a stolen weapon in the suspects’ car.

Just before 1 a.m. Friday, police say they tried to pull over a black Honda Civic for a traffic violation.

However, the driver sped off.

Officers chased the Honda through northwest Oklahoma City to N.W. 10th St. and County Line Rd.

Police say the suspects turned into a mobile home park and jumped out of the car.

One man was arrested on the scene while the police helicopter tracked the second suspect to a nearby creek.

K9 units were able to find suspect and arrest him.

When police searched the car, they allegedly found a loaded, stolen weapon.

Authorities say both men will face charges of eluding police and possession of a stolen firearm.
