Devoted dad goes to the extreme: How far would you go to make sure your child feels safe?
ATLANTA (CNN) – After a winter storm crippled the Atlanta area, thousands of students were stranded at school.
When one dad realized his 5-year-old daughter’s bus couldn’t bring her home, he sprang into action.
According to WSB, Mark Nilson laced up his boots and started walking the six miles to Elizabeth’s school.
It took him three hours to get there but he said it was well worth it to see his daughter’s face light up when she saw him.
They both spent the night with the rest of the students and staff at the school.
The next morning, they headed home together.
