Authorities with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office say they began investigating the men after an incident at the detention center on Dec. 1, 2013.

Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel said, “When the allegations surrounding this incident were brought to my attention, an internal investigation was conducted immediately. At the conclusion of the probe, I terminated both of these men and directed that this case be presented to Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater. As public servants charged with protecting those in our custody, we are held to a higher standard and I will not for one second tolerate anyone who violates that trust.”
