Oklahoma City Thunder’s Steven Adams picked to participate in BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge
OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams was selected to participate in the 2014 BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge to be held on Friday, Feb. 14 at New Orleans Arena during NBA All-Star 2014.
Adams, the 12th overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft, is averaging 3.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 0.74 blocks and 15.2 minutes in 46 games (two starts).
Among NBA Rookies Adams currently ranks third in both rebounds and blocks.
The BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge will feature two teams drafted by TNT personalities.
Each team will have rosters, consisting of both NBA rookies and sophomores drafted from a pool that was previously selected by the NBA’s assistant coaches.
Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to vote online for who should be in the starting lineup for each team.
