NORMAN, Okla. – The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has just released its preliminary 2013 tornado report.

Guess which state had the only confirmed EF-5 tornado in 2013, Oklahoma.

According to the NWS, 898 tornadoes were reported last year; 79 of those were in our state.

Texas has the most reported tornadoes with 81, Oklahoma is second and Kansas comes in third with 55 twisters.

The states with the fewest reported tornadoes in 2013:

Arizona: 1
Delaware: 1
Maryland: 2
New Mexico: 2
Washington: 2
