UPDATE: Lawton police investigate Lawton’s sixth homicide of 2014; victim’s name released
UPDATED: The victim’s identity of Lawton’s 6th homicide of 2014 has been confirmed. His name is Julian Alexander Nolan Humphrey, 21 years old.
LAWTON - The Lawton Police Department is currently investigating Lawton’s sixth homicide of 2014.
At approximately 1:18pm this afternoon, the Lawton Police Department received a call in the 1300 block of SW 26th Street in reference to an individual being shot.
A caller stated that a male had been shot and he was unconscious.
Officers arrived on the scene and found a male lying in the floor of the residence with an apparent gunshot wound and bleeding.
When the officers checked the male did not have a pulse and was not breathing. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation.
Authorities are currently investigating possible witnesses.
At this time officers do not have anyone in custody or arrested for this homicide.
The victim has not been positively identified by the department as of now so no information on identity or possible identity will be released.
