Man attempts to jump White House Fence; Suspect in custody
WASHINGTON – The White house was placed on lockdown Friday after a man tried to jump over the fence.
The man was tackled by secret service and U.S. park police before he could make it over.
Officials say the man had two bags in his possession, one of which was described as “Suspicious”.
The man was taken into custody and his items were screened, although there was no evidence of any danger.
President Obama was not in the White House at the time, having left his morning for Michigan.
