Gov. Mary Fallin and Mayor Mick Cornett declare Feb. 14 ‘Love’s Day’
OKLAHOMA CITY – Love’s Travel Stops corporate employees, with the help of Gov. Mary Fallin and Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, will kick off its 50th anniversary by taking time to do good in the community.
On Friday, February 14, 500 plus Oklahoma City-based corporate employees will ‘Share the Love’ and spend the day volunteering to remind the community of the giving spirit of Love’s and its employees.

The day will start with Gov. Fallin and Mayor Cornett’s offices issuing proclamations declaring it Love’s Day.
Tom Love, founder and executive chairman, Jenny Love Meyer, vice president of communications, with the help of Oklahoma City Thunder mascot Rumble the Bison, will lead employees in a pep rally before sending them out into the community.
Volunteers will split into two large groups; morning volunteers will pack nutritious food boxes at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to be distributed to area families and afternoon volunteers will mentor children at the Boys and Girls Club of Oklahoma County.
The celebration will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Love’s corporate office headquarters on north Pennsylvania Ave.
