Alleged thieves stab victim and lock him in trunk, search for suspects continues
OKLAHOMA CITY – Police say they are searching for a woman who may know something about an assault and kidnapping on the city’s south side.
Police rushed to the 3700 block of S. May early Thursday morning after getting a call about an assault.
When they arrived, they learned the victim had been confronted by a group of suspects outside his apartment in the 5900 block of S. May.
Authorities say the man told officers he was leaving his apartment around 5:30 a.m. when the suspects allegedly forced him into the trunk of his car.
The suspects allegedly drove him to a nearby convenience store and demanded the PIN for his ATM card.
When the victim was unable to tell them the number, he was allegedly beaten, pistol whipped and stabbed in the leg with a screwdriver before the suspects locked him in the trunk again.
Fortunately, he was able to escape and make his way into the convenience store, where he called police.
Authorities say they obtained surveillance video from a nearby Starbucks and want to speak with one woman who was captured on the video.
