Brave souls prepare to ‘take the plunge’ for a good cause
OKLAHOMA CITY – The brave of heart are encouraged to take the plunge this weekend for a good cause.
White Water Bay will host the annual ‘Polar Plunge’ on Saturday, Feb. 15, which benefits the Special Olympics.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the ‘Cool Schools Plunge’ will start at 10 a.m., just before the ‘Polar Plunge’ gets underway at 10:30 a.m.
Registration is $75 per person and all the money raised supports Oklahoma athletes.
Other ‘Polar Plunge’ events will be held on Feb. 22 in Tahlequah, Norman, Tulsa and Poteau.
The statewide goal is to raise $275,000 for Special Olympics Oklahoma.
