Blaze consumes Norman home, smoke seen for miles

NORMAN, Okla. – Authorities in Norman are trying to get control of a house fire, which sparked Monday afternoon.

Shortly before 4 p.m., firefighters were called to the home near Main St. and 24th Ave. S.W.

Smoke could be seen for miles as crews attempted to put the fire out before it spread to other structures.

At this time, fire officials say the roof of the home has partially collapsed.

Firefighters say the blaze has been contained to the structure but it could be a total loss.

No word on if any injuries have been reported.
