OKLAHOMA CITY - Officials are searching for a suspect after one person was killed in a shooting in southwest Oklahoma City on Monday morning.
Neighbors near S.W. 22nd St. and Miller Ave. heard the gunshot just before 9 a.m. and called 911.
MSgt. Gary Knight, with the Oklahoma City Police Department, said, "It came in as a possible shooting and of course, that's what police officers found when they got here."
When police arrived, they found a gold Honda Accord parked in the middle of the street.
They say at least one bullet hole shattered the windshield.
Knight said, "When officers arrived, they found a deceased person inside of the automobile."
Investigators say the victim is 22-year-old Eduardo Perez-Pena.
Knight said, "The death appears to be a shooting death, but we are still so early in this investigation it's hard to know much at this point."
Authorities said they have not made any arrests and do not have any suspect information at this time.
However, they are looking for witnesses who may be able to provide information related to the crime.
They have not said what led to the shooting.
