General Motors expands recall after more than a dozen deaths
General motors is expanding its recall of certain older model vehicles.
The company had already announced a problem with Chevy Cobalts from 2005 through 2007 model years as well as the Pontiac G6S from 2007.
Now, GM is recalling Saturn Ions from 2003 to 2007 model years, Chevy HHR’s from 2006 and 2007, the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn sky models from 2006 and 2007.
The problem is with the ignition switch where the key may unintentionally move or switch to the “accessory” or “off” position.
31 crashes have resulted, including more than a dozen deaths.
Until drivers can get a dealership, GM is urging customers to remove unessential items from key rings.
