OKLAHOMA CITY – Senators will consider a plan to cut Oklahoma’s tax rate at the State Capitol today.

The bill in question would reduce the state income tax rate from 5.25 percent down to 5 percent.

Senate President Pro Tem Brian Bingman said this decrease is keeping a promise to Oklahomans to reduce their tax burden.

The bill is scheduled to be heard on the senate floor later today.
