Despite an inconsistent season and a three-game suspension for shoving a fan, Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart was named first team All-Big 12 for the second year in a row.

The league’s head coaches announced their All-Big 12 picks on Sunday, and Smart was one of five players who made the first team.

Smart was also named to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team.

Smart’s teammate Markel Brown was named second team all-conference, while forward Le’Bryan Nash was named honorable mention All-Big 12.

OSU guard Phil Forte was named the co-winner of the 6th Man of the Year, along with OU senior Tyler Neal.

Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield was second team all-conference, while senior forward Cameron Clark was third team, and sophomore center Ryan Spangler was honorable mention.

Big 12 coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.
