SEQUOYAH COUNTY, Okla. – Deputies are investigating after a man said he found his stolen mule had starved to death, tied to a tree on someone else’s property.
Arkansas’ KFSM reported the man who owns the property where the mule was found said he didn’t steal the animal.
George Borman, with the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office, told KFSM they have a “person of interest,” but currently do not have enough evidence to charge him in relation to his case.
KFSM identified the person of interest as Brian Walker.
Walker is currently in jail on weapons charges as well as possession of stolen property, controlled substances and evading an officer.
His bond is set at $62,000 at the Sequoyah County Detention Center.
KFSM reported deputies are currently investigating Walker for stealing a horse in another town.
