Traffic stop leads to arrest, discovery of dozens of pounds of marijuana

STANDRIDGE, WILBURN

OKLAHOMA CITY – Officers in Oklahoma City say they discovered 36 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop along I-40 earlier this week.

Police say they pulled a car over near I-40 and Rockwell for a traffic violation.

According to the arrest affidavit, officers noticed something suspicious and decided to get a search warrant.

During the search, police say they discovered 36 pounds of marijuana in boxes and trash bags.

Authorities arrested 41-year-old Wilburn Ross Standridge on a charge of trafficking a controlled dangerous substance.
