Dog recovering after being tied to a tree and shot 4 times

ROGER MILLS COUNTY, Okla. – A brave pup survived four gun shot wounds while tied to a tree in Roger Mills County.

A woman driving by witnessed the incident and scared off the culprits.

Witnesses say the culprits took off in a car with temporary tags.

Authorities are unsure of the make of the vehicle or the number of suspects.

The dog is with the Red Earth Animal Hospital under the care of Dr. Howard Dent.

After Dent found out what happened to the dog he decided to name him ‘Bullet.’

Officials say Bullet is “doing great.”
